Abercrombie & Fitch to shut 60 stores
Posted On: 03-03-2016 03:39:10 AM

Abercrombie recently reported that it plans to shutter another 60 stores this year. The company has already closed about one-third of its stores in the past six years.

The traditional so-called teen retailers, Abercrombie, Eagle, and Aeropostale face increasing competition from people like Zara and H&M and Uniqlo and places like Primark.

However, one place Abercrombie & Fitch is outpacing its peers is Digital. In 2015, 24% of the business was done direct to consumer and 40% of its was completed via mobile devices.

Even as they look for ways to retain relevance, Abercrombie has stated that it will not rely on promotions to drive our business.
