In response to the increasing social attention being given to the way we dress our homes, Sundeep Malhotra, former CEO of Homeshop18 has launched Renomania.com. He describes it as “the place to find, save and share beautiful home photos. A place where you can find, connect with and evaluate designers, architects and contractors who are right for your home rebuilding needs.” Essentially “Renomania helps conceive beautiful home spaces and provides access to competent professionals to bring the concept to life.”
Malhotra brings with him a rich experience of being able to sniff out trends and convert them into business opportunities. He was founder and CEO of HomeShop18, the popular homeshopping channel which launched in in 2006 and grew to be a 24x7 shopping channel in 2008. The web business www.homeshop18.com was launched in 2011. In 2013, HomeShop18 forayed into M Commerce with a unique model called Scan N Shop, India’s first virtual shopping wall at Delhi Airport. This was followed by the launch of its mobile app for Android and iPhone users. Today, with over 8.1 million unique visitors (ComScore June 2013) on the website, a reach of 20 million households through HomeShop18 TV Channel and delivering 14 million + SKUs in over 3000 cities in India, HomeShop18 is the only virtual retailer in the country with a substantial presence on TV, Web and Mobile platforms.
Earlier in his career Malhotra served as Executive Vice President Sales at PepsiCo in (2000 – 2006)and Brand Manager Adidas ( and Power) at Bata India Ltd. As Brand Manager Power he was responsible for engaging the Indian cricket team and signing on key players – an idea which was new to India at the time.
Malhotra has won a number of awards in recognition of his contribution to industry including, Entrepreneur of the Year - Innovation in Technology (Entrepreneur India) in 2013; The Greatest Corporate Leaders of India (India's greatest.com) also in 2013; CEO of the Year (National Quality Excellence Award) in 2012 and Retail Leadership Award(Asia Retail Congress) in 2012 amongst others.
