Trent to add 3 more Star Bazaars

Trent Hypermart, the retail arm of the Tata group is planning to open three more of its Star Bazaar hypermarkets by the end of 2012. A total investment of about Rs 30 crore is planned for this project, at Rs 8-10 crore per outlet.

The Company has so far disclosed the names of the location for opening of these outlets. Currently, there are 15 Star Bazaar outlets in the country.

Trent is also pushing its health initiatives, which will see the launch of separate segment in its outlets called ĎHealthy Choicesí where food products from Britannia, Tropicana, 24 Letters, Tetley, Borges, Dabur and McVities and other international and domestic brands will be stocked.

Trent also plans to launch its own private label under the healthy range.
