GFA eyes huge potential for fast-food chains in tier 2, 3 markets
Posted On: 08-08-2012 00:00:00 12

The Switzerland based Global Franchise Architects (GFA) has spotted a huge potential tier 2 and tier 3 towns such as Madurai, Tiruchi, Coimbatore, Puducherry, Visakhapatnam, Mysore, Mangalore, Manipal, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, to grow such fast food chains as Pizza Corner, Coffee World, Domino’s and Café Coffee Day.

GFA builds, operates and franchises a portfolio of food service brands such as Pizza Corner, Coffee World, Cream and Fudge and The Donut Baker. The Group already has nearly 91 stores in India, of which 20% are located in tier 2 and 3 towns. The future expansion plans of GFA are focused in small towns.

Market analysts have observed that the consumer behaviour pattern in small towns has seen a rapid change due to increasing literacy rates, disposable income and aspirations driven by greater media exposure.
