Faridabad malls handicapped with no food courts
Posted On: 18-07-2012 00:00:00 12

As per media reports, most of the seven malls operational in Faridabad do not have a food court. Of these, the SRS Mall and the Crown Interiorz Mall have a proper food court, which brings in a large chunk of steady customers.

SRS 7dayz food court has reportedly grown at the rate of 22-25% over the last few years, reporting revenues of Rs 21 crores in the 2011-12 fiscal.

The Nitya food court located in Crown Interiorz Mall caters to nearly 15-20% of the customers who visit the mall daily. The food court has recorded a growth rate of 10% over the past few years, generates a monthly turnover of over Rs 14 lakhs.

As per industry experts, food courts in malls are responsible for 35-40% increase in footfalls every day. Small eateries cannot substitute the value addition provided by a food court.
